Distinctive Unit Insignia

Description
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a truck wheel with blue tire inscribed MOBILE AGILE FLEXIBLE in gold letters, the hub cap gold and bearing a brick red trident throughout; all surmounting in base three stylized brick red locomotive wheels with a gold horizontal rod.

Symbolism
The truck and locomotive wheels refer to the Battalions basic mission of supply when it was the 150th Transportation Battalion.  The locomotive wheels further allude to the units home area, the city of Meridian, which was founded at the junction of several railroad lines.  The trident, adapted from the crest of the Mississippi Army National Guard, indicates the Battalion is a National Guard unit.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 150th Transportation Battalion on 12 October 1967.  It was redesignated for the 150th Quartermaster Battalion on 6 May 1982.  The insignia was redesignated for the 150th Engineer Battalion with the description and symbolism revised effective 2 September 1994.  It was cancelled effective 5 October 2016.

Argent a truck tire Azure the hub Or and charged with a trident Gules surmounting in base three torteaus in fess debruised at their base with a barrulet of the third.

That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Mississippi Army National Guard:  From a wreath Argent and Azure, a slip of magnolia full flower with leaves Proper behind a trident Sable.
